Bronze medal match secured by the Croatian Female Team Kumite


Competing for the bronze medal at the 2024 European Senior Karate and Para-Karate Championships in Zadar will be the Croatian Female Team Kumite consisting of Mia Greta Zorko, Lea Vukoja, Lucija Lesjak, Sadea Bećirović and Nikolina Golomboš.

Against Poland, Croatia claimed victory with a score of 2:1. The first point for Croatia was secured by Lucija Lesjak (8:2) against Julija Daniszewska. The second match went to Poland, with Kseniyja Dronchanka defeating Mia Greta Zorko with a score of 11:2, and the winning point for Croatia was secured by Sadea Bećirović, who won 8:0 against Magdalena Godlewska.

After defeating the Polish team, the girls easily secured a victory against the Netherlands (2:0). In the first match, Sadea Bećirović defeated Robin van Wezel with a score of 6:0, while the second point was won by Mia Greta Zorko (7:3) against Lynn Snel. Unfortunately, their path to European gold was halted in the semifinals where they were defeated 2:0 by the Italians. In the first match, Mia Greta Zorko was defeated 5:2 by Clio Ferracuti, while Sadea Bećirović was defeated 2:0 by Anne Pie Desiderio.

The bronze medal match in the team category is scheduled for Saturday, 11 May at 4:45 PM according to the preliminary schedule, and the opponents will be the Turkish team.
