In front of the home crowd, at the European Senior Karate and Para-Karate Championships Zadar 2024, Croatia will be represented by 27 karate athletes and 9 para-karate athletes. The list of the Croatian karate and para-karate team is available on the Croatian Karate Union’s website.
Croatian athletes bring with them excellent results from last year’s European Championships which was held in Guadalajara, Spain, where they won a total of six medals: gold, two silvers, and three bronzes. Enes Garibović won silver in the -84 kg category, while Anđelo Kvesić secured a bronze medal in the +84 kg category. The Croatian Female Kumite Team claimed the silver medal, and the Male Kumite Team earned bronze. In para-karate, Daniela Topić clinched the gold medal in the category for female athletes with intellectual disabilities (K22), while Stipe Barić brought home bronze in the same category.
