1. PURPOSE AND LEGAL GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
1.1. We are gathering personal data that is necessary in purpose of presenting accreditations for the European Championships, reporting on the results of the European Championships.
Croatian Karate Union, the organizer, cares for your privacy and only gathers and processes data that is necessary.
Here, we are going to describe the type and purpose for each private data that we will ask from you, where the data is stored and for how long.
1.2. Reason for processing your personal data:
Applying for accreditations
Appying for volunteering
Providing answers to inquiries
Publishing results (for athletes)
Providing information on the European Championships (if stated so)
We gather the following information:
first and last name: To comply with your accreditation application and enable the work of the Protocol, Volunteers Department and Accreditation
Protocol purposes: To provide accreditations to institution representatives, participants, national team members, referees, media representatives and volunteers.
e-mail contact: To confirm the accreditation request and for contact regarding the gathering of accreditation
phone contact of the person collecting the accreditations: To confirm the accreditation request and for contact regarding the gathering of accreditation
age and home address (for volunteers): To enable the work of the Volunteers Department.
By filling out the accreditation form you enable the processing of provided data to the Protocol and accreditation of the European Senior Karate & Para-Karate Championships Zadar 2024.
Data provided will be kept in electronic format for a time period starting with the application until the first day of the European Championships.
The data will be kept for as long as the Organizer is legally obligated to keep all archival materials. Championships results are published on the official website and contain first and last name of athletes, YOB, and country of the athlete.
The European Championships is held at a public ground where many photographers will be present and official photography will be published on the official web site.

3. FORWARDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Under certain circumstances, we are legally obligated to forward your data to the authorities. This obligation can come from national or EU regulations. For example, in case of investigations or audit.
Your data will be forwarded only in the case of existence of legally binding regulations.
Your data won’t be used for marketing services.
4. PERSONAL DATA SAFETY
We gather and process personal data in a way that ensures an appropriate level of safety and confidentiality in the processing in a reasonable extent of data usage, processing, period of archiving and accessibility of your personal data.
5. PERIOD OF ARCHIVING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is kept until the purpose of processing the data is fulfilled. After this, your data won’t be used but they will be archived for as long as we are legally obligated to.
